As part of his campaign to kiss up to allies of President Donald Trump, Gaston Browne has started the rumour that trillionaire Elon Musk might come to Antigua and Barbuda in November.

Musk supposedly is “showing some interest” to attend the Commonwealth Business Forum of the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM26)

“I’m told … that Elon Musk is showing some interest to attend the conference as well. And if we were to get Elon here, Elon obviously when it comes to creativity and innovation, I mean he is a global leader. We’re looking forward, if his schedule permits, him to join us,” Browne told ABS Television.

“Elon Musk, the tech billionaire behind Tesla, Space-X and the social media platform X, has shown interest in attending the Commonwealth Business Forum in Antigua and Barbuda later this year,” ABS Television reported as fact.

“The revelation comes from Prime Minister the Right Honourable Gaston Browne, during an exclusive interview with ABS News Monday afternoon. The business forum will be held as part of the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM 2026), which Antigua and Barbuda will host for the first time this November. Prime Minister Browne says the business forum is expected to attract high-level business leaders and investors to expand trade, investment and technology-sharing across the 56-member Commonwealth,” according to the report.
