His daddy claims that there’s nothing for the Gaston Browne Crime Family to hide, but Gaston Andron Browne III apparently thinks otherwise.
Word on the street in South Florida is that Andron has been avoiding the process servers who are trying to serve him with a subpoena relating to the Alfa Nero case.
A federal court in Florida recently determined that since Andron is an established Florida resident, attorney Martin De Luca may force him to submit documents that may incriminate his prime minister father.
Prime Minister Browne has said that Andron will cooperate fully, but that appears not to be so.
We await Andron’s side of the story.
As reported on 9 September, “The American court would have had no standing at all, had Prime Minister Browne not sued De Luca and his firm, Boies Schiller Flexner (BSF), for defamation in Antigua and Barbuda.”
“In making that ill-advised maneuver, Browne set up his son in Florida to be subpoenaed in De Luca’s defense,” we reported.
“Andron would have remained off-limits in cases involving Alfa Nero. But Browne’s defamation suit changed that, because under American law, the accused in a foreign defamation case can use US courts to collect discovery information in their own defence abroad”
